Pack Light!

Before we left on our trip, I was trying to make a list of what to pack. Basically, I was overwhelmed.

I had never been to Europe before and here I was trying to plan for 7 months, in more than one season, for 17 countries.

The following is a list of what I brought. At the end you will find things I had to buy because I didn't bring them as well as things I didn't end up needing.

I will personally guarantee you you will not need everything you bring! We sent two boxes of things home once it occurred to us how heavy our packs were and how much pain our backs were in!

Backpacks? Check out the "How to Buy a Backpack" section.

This is what I brought. You can print out this packing list here.
